Recreate an art deco gala ball in a Colorbond shed at Aussie World? Of course we can! In fact, we did, and we had a ball in the process.
The Annual Mayoral Ball is one of the most significant resources of fundraising for SunnyKids.

Our client wanted wow factor for their 2018 Dudley Awards for Excellence, so we delivered! Guests were transported to the Parisian splendour of the Moulin Rouge amidst The Triffid’s iconic Live Room, a renovated WWII vintage aircraft hangar (amazing!).

A Fresh New Brand for Lake Kawana Community Centre
One of the most diverse and adaptable event venues on the Sunshine Coast, Lake Kawana Community Centre now has a new brand identity to fit their well-earned reputation.

This season, we’ve been lucky enough to have premium seats to all of Lightning’s home games (as well as VIP Laneway access).  The Mask team have coordinated and styled the VIP Laneway at each home game, where family, friends and fans supported and celebrated together over tasty treats and vino.  Of course, our daughters were only too happy to “help” us work these events, since it meant getting up-close with their sporting heroes.

The iconic Sunshine Coast magazine celebrated its 10 th birthday in style and Mask Events were there to pop the champagne! The team that have brought us so many remarkable stories of the people and places of the beautiful Sunshine Coast enjoyed a well-deserved kicking up of the heels at Saltwater Mooloolaba in early July.

We absolutely love working on charity events, and there’s a special place in our hearts for SunnyKids, who we’ve supported for years. On 8th June we were blessed to organise the Travis Schultz Wine Makers’ Masterclass, which raised an incredible $91,000 for this wonderful charity!  Talk about all the feels ?

Mask Events had an absolute ball coordinating and styling the 100 Club Gala Dinner on Friday 9th March, where  100 businesses came together to support the Sunshine Coast Turf Club.  The chance to win race sponsorship prizes may have added to the thrill a little.

We replicated the bulwark of a ship to use as the photo backdrop, so guests appeared to be on a ship in their pictures from the evening.  We’re pretty sure that when they look back on the pics years from now, they’ll remember actually celebrating on a ship that night 😉

Late last year we were faced with a challenge, the kind of challenge you can’t wait to tackle head on and turn into something fantastic. With a brief that read ‘the best Mayors Ball yet’ and a guest list of over 400 we needed a unique venue that would turn some heads, and a big one at that. After some serious negotiating, we secured McDermott Aviation’s hangar at the Sunshine Coast International Airport.  The extra-large space was a clean slate just waiting for us to work some magic, and that’s exactly what we did!

This extravagant Chinese New Year themed event was a night to remember for 250 Stellar BPO employees. The brief was to create a traditional, decadent and over the top celebration of prosperity, abundance and generosity. Guests were greeted with drinks on arrival before heading towards the stunning entrance, barely recognisable as Maroochydore RSL. As the guests moved through the ancient temple gates adorned with Cherry Blossoms and lanterns, they entered a Chinese wonderland. But there was oh so much more to this Asian fairy-tale.

The scene was set for a magical, mystical night under a canopy of ivy and wisteria. Welcome to our Secret Garden, a gala dinner for over 300 guests set at The Events Centre, Caloundra. So Fiona (super creative extraordinaire for Mask Events), Monopoly, that’s an interesting theme for an awards dinner. How many events have you used the Monopoly theme in before?

None, this is the very first Monopoly event we have created. We love coming up with new and fun ideas for our clients. We had a range of styling items that would work with this event such as our super sized dice, and our street lamps but we love to custom build new props for individual events. For this event we had each centrepiece custom designed to our specifications.
