Mask Events recently assisted The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital with their Annual Charity Ball. The theme was Rocky Horror . The theme was carried right from the front entrance as people alighted from their cars through to what can only be described as a spectacular display which truly lived the theme of Rocky Horror. The team at Mask Events understood the brief given at the planning stage of the event and added an enormous amount of creative input to the overall effect. The feedback from guests who attended the Ball was incredible with some guests saying it was the best ball they had ever attended.

The team at Mask Events worked incredibly hard to bring the theme together. The hospital is very happy to engage Mask Events for the 2010 Ball and are very pleased to be able to provide this testimony on their behalf.

"The AGL Action Rescue Helicopter" continues to set the benchmark in Sunshine Coast events with our stylish Black Tie Charity Gala Ball held each year, attracting prominent community business people from the Sunshine Coast and the wider part of South East Queensland. Mask Events are involved from the inception to completion and form an integral part of the team by providing knowledge and expertise in professional theming.  Friday October 22nd saw six hundred VIP guests strut the red carpet, sip champagne and enjoy an elaborate evening ‘Hollywood Style’ with thrills and excitement from some of Australia’s best entertainers. There was a unique selection of auction items and fine dining accompanied by a selection of boutique wines direct from the wine grower. Everyone mingled and danced the night away at the Sunshine Coast’s most prestigious Gala event.

We can definitely highlight the importance of having a theming concept, and attribute Mask’s involvement as critical to the success of our event.

The Capricorn Resort Yeppoon holds Central Queensland’s Premier Gala Dinner Event gala dinner in July each year in our Palms Conventions and Events Centre.The Gala Dinner is part of the Pat O’Driscoll Tropical Auto Group Golf Classic and plays host to the regions to top Golfers, (both professional and amateurs) as well as a host of invited guests, sponsors and VIP’s. With over 380 guests attending it is a must do on the social calendar for the region.

This year it was my pleasure to work with Lo, Neil and their team at “Mask Events” to create our theme “Fire & Ice”. Lo and Neil personally travelled to the Capricorn Resort to present their theming options and proposal at the beginning of the year.

The function space was in use right up until the night before the Gala Dinner so Lo and Neil where on a tight time schedule from the word go. They worked wonderfully with not only our staff but also our AV company to have the room ready way ahead of schedule – this was an unexpected surprise. Nothing was too much trouble for Neil , even when we needed the large chandeliers to be moved to different locations he was very happy to oblige. With full wall and ceiling draping, 2 meter tall centre pieces and Lo’s personally created chandeliers the guests were blown away on entry to the room. The effect of the themeing was evident when guests from the “ice” end commented on being quite cool and the guests in the “Fire” end commented on being warm.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Mask Events to any professional organization, wedding couple or social group who are looking to create a night to remember.
