Mask Events were so pleased to develop the Flower Festival, another successful activation for Stockland Birtinya Shopping Centre. The new centre continues its quest to increase awareness amongst the community of retailers and services. Mask has continued to create and deliver unique events that get the locals shopping! Of course, we adore playing with flowers, so this event was a dream the to style.
It was a big hit! Not just because it was beautiful, but also the variety of fun and interesting workshops on offer. In fact, most of the workshops were completely sold out. There was something for everyone at the Flower Festival.
There was a Styling Centrepieces Floristry Workshop for all the budding florists to help get us prepped for our next dinner party or special event. Who doesn’t dream of their guests being struck with awe at your floristry and culinary skills? Surely not just us.
In aid of our guests’ culinary skills, they were treated to a Meat & Herb Pairing Workshop. Apparently, rosemary and lamb aren’t the only perfect matches! Combined with the Micro Greens Presentation and Tasting our guests were almost ready to join the next season of Masterchef. Additionally, those who appreciate a tipple enjoyed the Botanical Gin Masterclass.
The Edible Flower Cupcake Decoration Workshop was also a hit! Adults and kids alike into their designs and some of the creations were truly spectacular.
The Flower Festival had a Brioche Flower Bun Decorating Workshop as well because you can never have too many flowers or baked goods. Why should cupcakes have all the fun?
The Small Gardens for Busy People Workshop was a brilliant way to get that green thumb going. The Work Farm Workshop accompanied this by showing families the whole process, from soil cultivation on. It was wonderful to see so many locals eager to learn about sustainability and how to grow their own produce.
The Reduce, Recycle & Reuse Presentation was an important inclusion. Breaking down how we’re impacting the earth and how we can improve in an understandable way so families could get excited about reducing waste and recycling together.
The Flower Crown Making Workshop was the jewel of the Flower Festival. It was such a joy seeing kids select their colour theme, flowers, greenery. Then carefully following instructions to create their own glorious flower crowns.
The Stockland Birtinya Festival of Flowers was such a pleasure to style and organise. We can’t wait for the next event!
